Hairy Vetch Cover Crop fortifies your soil with the minerals it has lost over time. It improves tillage and introduces plenty of organic material and beneficial microorganisms back into the soil. Also helps reduce erosion and even prevent weeds. Hairy Vetch is great for reintroducing nitrogen to the soil for plants that need lots of it such as tomatoes, corn, squash and roses. It grows tall and dense, with small, trumpet-shaped, purple flowers. Use a hand broadcaster to sow 2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. of soil.
- Use hand spreader for best results, 2 lbs. covers 1,000 sq. ft.
