Northern Turf Alive. Grass Seed Mix was developed to endure the harsh weather of northern climates. A blend of perennial grasses such as ryegrass, dwarf bluegrass (derived from a variety discovered in Iceland), and low-growing fescue, this fine-bladed variety adapts well to shade or sun. It can also withstand heavy foot traffic. It is also a slow-growing grass, which means less mowing.
